My husband and I had been talking about putting in a split unit in our home. We called David Collis because we knew him and we had previously done business with this company. We were totally impressed with David and the knowledge he gave us as to put in the right unit for us. The 2 gentleman that did the installation were very courteous and kept us informed as to what they were doing. Will definetly refer Fred F. Collis & Sons.
So $129.99 for emergency call,which is fair. They came quickly. Problem is diagnosed, control board is bad. Fine. Quoted $655.00 to repair. I would have liked to give them the business but I did some research. The part cost me $70.00 (probably less for them) and anyone with a screwdriver could replace it in 10 minutes. I understand that their insurance is probably expensive but I think that is a criminal mark up. Of course my house might blow up at any moment. I never post reviews but I feel strongly about this.
From start to finish they were awesome! Admittedly I was concerned that they were going to be really expensive but they were very reasonable. Our technician was friendly and knowledgeable, Mike our sales person was polite, friendly, very knowledgeable and explained all of our options and everything so we knew exactly what we were getting. The installers we also friendly and cleaned up incredibly well after themselves. At the office our finance person was fast, helpful and very polite and great to work with. Did I mention they also handled all of the rebate paperwork for us too? Start to finish we couldn't have had a better experience and our new furnice rocks! Thanks Team Collis!
Simply the best around. I use them for my residential and commercial property, always professional and timely.
They do not return calls. Like the other reviewer, I never received a follow up for a quote. I went with another installer who apparently wanted the $15,000 job more than Collis. If this is how they treat prospective customers I wouldn't want to rely on them for service. I wouldn't recommend them.
