Use to use hertz only when I rent, but have stopped using as primary rental place due to vehicles that are poorly cleaned in between rentals at the Yorkville NY location.
Horrible customer service not willing to help you at all all the way up to corporate don’t recommend this place to anyone you will be better off paying extra $15 someplace else and get better customer service never again
There's just so much idiocy here. When I called to complain that I was quoted only an extra $36 (I.e. Not the $150 extra that was on my bill), both the branch and the main customer service said that there was no way to prove what I said is true, and that I should have checked the terms on their website before booking. Short of recording the phone call, how could I ever prove this?
They don't trust their customers, they screw up and make their customers pay for their mistakes. I warn potential customers to stay away.
Extremely professional and helpful crew, especially Nicole. She helped me get out of my rental from the airport and into a car that was better suited. Very fast and easy in and out.
Not only is the service horrible but they charged me $173 for a smoking fee and I don't even smoke I will never rent there again and definitely would not recommend to anyone ever.
The customer is always WRONG at Hertz. I rented a car on Kayak for 4 days, and I needed it for three more days. When I called to ask how much more it would be, The lady on the phone said she needed to "hold $36". I asked what that meant, and she said the rental would be an extra $36. When I got the bill, I found that they charged me the regular $29/day rate for each day, plus a late fee, making the true extra that I was charged $150. I also got charged a whole extra day for 4 extra hours, but they still charged me a late fee. How can it be late if I'm paying the full price per day?
